I'd like to begin this post by saying that without MSWord's instantaneous spell check, I would probably have been writing nowhere. Despite technically being somehow [isn’t that much?] may alam sa pagsusulat, there are times that my brain loiters to outer space. I cannot spell for crap. Hell, I can barely spell "literature."
That said, Word's grammar check is so embarrassingly bad, they should really have it turned off by default in the next version, if not taken out behind the old Redmond shed and put out of its misery. Usually it's just wrong, but today it crossed the line. I just had to take a screenshot of this, which I came across while editing an my entries:
But that's not all - I decided to see what would happen if I went ahead and accepted the change. It immediately underlined "it're" in red, and suggested I change it back to "they're," at which point it promptly underlined it in green again. My head a'splode.
This Blog is an outlet for the random thoughts of an amateur opinionator.
What's an opinionator?
An opinionator is somebody who has power without responsibility, and the ability to spout off on any subject without worrying too much about the consequences of what comes out of the mouth. All you need is an opinion and the opportunity to voice it.
TV is full of professional opinionators. The internet gives the amateur his chance.
