> -BER na!

The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

And by the light of that same star
Three Wise men came from country far
To seek for a King was their intent
And to follow the star wherever it went.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

This star drew nigh to the northwest
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both Pause and stay
Right o'er the place where Jesus lay.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Then entered in those Wise men three
Full reverently upon their knee
And offered there in His presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Don't you just love to sing all the christams caroles you knew since you were a child when the BER months are here? We already have started to decorate our home with lots of garlands, shining balls, angels, nativity and the ever famous christmas tree.

I noticed last week that a lot of malls are on sale. Most of them are having new stocks for the Yuletide Season. Wishlists, presents, parties and smiles will fill the air on the holiday. That's why Christmas is my favorite holiday of all holidays!

Time for me to start listing down my "inaanaks" and their gifts for December. I will opt to do it early to avoid the Christmas rush and traffic. Not to mention the price increase on the coming months.

And I can't believe the month of August is already over. It's like the year is almost gone once you get to the "-ber" months: September, October, November and December. Before you know it, 2008 will be over and we will be ushering in the year 2009. Scary!

Since Christmas is my fave holidays and event, there are a lot of things I love when it's the month of December:

  • Amihan sa probinsiya namin [Nort Easterly wind]

  • Kapeng Barako [Batangas Roasted Coffe Beans]

  • Puto bumbong [sweet taro steamed in small bamboo tubes]

  • Simbang gabi at Misa de Gallo [Dawn and Midnight Masses]

  • Christmas decorations everywhere

  • Gifts! [my wishlist]

  • Christmas caroles

  • Bonding time with the family

  • The aura is different. It's more serene, peaceful and cheery [minus the traffic jam]

  • Christmas parties

Baste 98's annual get-together

I really heart christmas! Hmm.. I wonder where are we going to celebrate it this year?
